Cross-Cultural Internship
with Hope In Our City and Crossroads of the Rockies


Partner with two Jesus-centered nonprofits in Denver working to befriend and serve some of Denver’s poorest neighborhoods. Gain experience doing holistic community development and relational ministry with refugees, immigrants, low-income individuals and families.


Intern Job Summary
An internship integrates knowledge and theory with practical application and skills development.  Hope In Our City and Crossroads of the Rockies offer internships to provide experiential ministry learning via a clear training track, personal supervision, discipleship, mentoring, real-time nonprofit work hours and leadership opportunities.  We are seeking internship applicants who have a personal relationship with Jesus, a love for local urban ministry, and a desire to gain practical ministry experience with Cross-Cultural Ministry.


Intern Requirements and Qualifications

  • Commitment to personal spiritual growth

  • Desire to pursue a sacrificial life of ministry

  • Attend a local church & actively participate in Christian community

  • Enthusiastic about our vision and approach to ministry

  • Proficient with current computer and internet technology; able to keep-up with changes

  • Strong work ethic, grit, able to love and care for hard-to-love people

  • Sense of humor, emotional maturity

  • Ready to learn and open to new or different ways of doing things


Intern Duties and Responsibilities

  • We’re recruiting interns to serve in the following areas:

    • Elementary Children’s Ministry

    • Middle & High School Youth Ministry

    • Women & Family Ministry

    • Fundraising & Administration

    • Communication & Volunteer Care

  • Commit to 10 week internship (40 hours per week) starting June 3, ending August 9

    • First week will be participation in training and education

    • Work is Monday through Friday, Saturday is a Sabbath Day

    • Intern retreat the week of July 1-5

    • Volunteer with one of our church partners on Sunday

  • Attend weekly staff meeting

  • Meet weekly with Ministry Supervisor
